Honestly, this is one of the coolest pieces we have ever come across and we went all out finding all of the perfect goodies to pair with it. The unit is clean and fully functional, it plays, records, rewinds, fast forwards, and ejects flawlessly. All of the buttons work. The screen is perfect and crisp especially for the time period it was made. Included is TWO BRAND NEW NEVER USED BATTERIES! (Except for photographing the unit), Sony SRS-5 External Speakers, Sony MDR-010 Headphone with brand new unused foam ear pads, Original Sony charging unit that charges and can power the device, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST.... 2 CLEAN HIGH DEFINITION 8MM RECORDINGS of Jurassic Park and Top Gun Maverick. I thought it would be cool if when you bought it you would have some content to go with it so I chose Jurassic Park because it was released at the same time as this unit was for sale and I thought how cool would it be to have a modern blockbuster to show off as well, so.... Top Gun Maverick.
This appears to be from United Airlines which makes it even cooler, They gave these to their first class flyers to watch movies on before every seat had a screen. The airline models had the speaker removed so the movies wouldn't both other guests BUT we included some external Sonys so you don't have to wear headphones if you don't want to.
This is also great for playing your old family movies. You can output the signal to digitize them. You can input a signal and record your own movies for on the go. I simply hooked up a roku stick, found the movie I wanted and pressed record and they came out great. The original signal was 1080 so its a crisp recording, I would argue these recordings look better than when they were originally released. It is a very versatile device. Its a really great design.
