We don’t play when it comes to authenticity. If you believe your item isn’t the real deal from, shoot us an email at sup@throwbackbuys.com within 7 days of delivery. Include photos and any supporting info — we’ll make it right with a full refund if it checks out.
Before bidding, peep the pics, read the deets, and use the “Ask a question about this throwback” button if anything’s unclear.
If you win an auction, you've got 24 hours to complete payment. No payment = no throwback.
If you ghost, we'll move on to the next highest bidder and you'll be banned from future auctions.
To keep things fair and spicy, any bid placed in the final 2 minutes will extend the auction by another 2 minutes. This keeps going until no one outbids.
No last-second sniping. No rage-quitting. Just a good old-fashioned bidding showdown at high noon.
Each auction item ships directly from the seller, a.k.a. your friendly neighborhood nostalgia dealer. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and distance, and insurance is included automatically (because these memories matter).
U.S. shipping only for now, but we’re working on expanding our throwback delivery zones.
All sales on ThrowbackBuys, including auctions, are final due to the vintage and rare nature of the items. We can't honor returns unless the item is seriously misrepresented or proven to be inauthentic.
Most My Little Pony figures hit retail shelves by the millions. Baby Sweet Tooth never did. The only way to get her was clipping Horseshoe Points from the packaging of other MLP purchases, mailing in 10 points plus $4.50 to Hasbro, and waiting. Most kids didn't have the patience. Most parents definitely didn't have the follow-through. That's why she's still hard to find 38 years later.
Baby Sweet Tooth is a G1 unicorn from the Twice as Fancy Baby Ponies line. Only 6 TAF Baby ponies were ever produced across the entire Generation 1 run from 1982 to 1992. The Twice as Fancy designation means her lollipop symbols cover the full body, not just the flank. That all-over candy print is what makes TAF ponies instantly recognizable. Turquoise body, hot pink mane and tail, purple eyes, lollipops across every surface. She's approximately 3.5 inches tall, in good condition with minor marks consistent with a figure that's been around for nearly four decades. No original accessories included.
Here's the math on the scarcity. Hasbro moved 150 million My Little Pony figures in the 1980s. Only 58 distinct mail order ponies were released across the entire G1 era. Within that already limited pool, the Twice as Fancy Babies are an even smaller subset: 6 figures, zero retail shelf presence. Every single one required a consumer to collect proof-of-purchase points, fill out a form, and mail it in with payment. The barrier to entry was built into the product. That's not manufactured scarcity. That's real scarcity.
Generation 1 remains the most collectible era in My Little Pony history, and mail order exclusives sit near the top of the hierarchy. The original G1 buyers now have the disposable income to reclaim what their childhoods couldn't keep pristine. Reissues don't replace originals. They never do.
A mail order exclusive unicorn from a 6-figure sub-line that never touched a retail shelf. Lollipop symbols still vibrant. For the G1 collector who knows what Horseshoe Points were and what it took to earn one of these.
